How do we handle company HMRC authorisation?

For HMRC authorisation:

  • We request an authorisation code from HMRC for the specific client and service (e.g., PAYE) 
  • This is done at the implementation stage before the first payroll is processed.
  • The code must be activated within 30 days of issue or it will expire
  • If the code expires, we need to request a new one
  • Client address information in HMRC records must be correct and match the registered business address

    Important Note: If there are any HMRC issues that require resolving and we do not hold HMRC authorisation, this could result in additional fees for you.
