How Do We Handle Company HMRC Authorisation?
Setting up secure agent access to manage your HMRC obligations
HMRC authorisation allows us to act as your agent and manage your PAYE, CIS, and other tax obligations on your behalf.
🔐 The Authorisation Process
During Implementation:
- We request an authorisation code from HMRC for your specific services (e.g., PAYE for Employers)
- This happens before we process your first payroll
- HMRC sends the authorisation code to your registered business address
Activation Requirements:
- The code must be activated within 30 days of issue
- If it expires, we'll need to request a new code
- This can delay your payroll setup
📍 Address Information Must Be Correct
Your business address with HMRC must match your registered address exactly
Any discrepancies can cause authorisation delays
We'll verify this information during setup to avoid issues
⚠️ Important Cost Consideration
If HMRC issues arise and we don't have proper authorisation:
We cannot resolve problems directly with HMRC on your behalf
You may incur additional fees for extended support or manual processes
This is why completing authorisation promptly is essential
