Do You Support Umbrella Companies or Recruitment Firms?

Yes, for PAYE-based arrangements — but we do not operate as an umbrella employer

Yes — we support recruitment firms and PAYE umbrella-style models where the employment relationship remains with the client or umbrella company. However, we do not operate as an umbrella employer ourselves.


✅ What We Support

We provide full payroll services for:

  • Recruitment agencies with in-house PAYE employees

  • Umbrella companies that employ workers directly under a registered PAYE scheme

  • Contract staff employed and paid via your own entity

In these cases, we support:

  • Multiple weekly/monthly pay runs

  • Statutory deductions (PAYE, NI, pensions)

  • Reporting for agency clients or end hirers

  • Bulk onboarding and leaver management


❌ What We Don’t Do

We do not act as a traditional umbrella company.
This means:

  • We do not employ the worker ourselves

  • We do not take over contractual responsibility for the contractor

  • We do not pay workers through Intelligent Payroll’s own PAYE scheme

If your model requires that the payroll provider becomes the employer of record, we would not be the right fit.
